Get started with Grafana Cloud k6
There are multiple ways to create and run a performance test in Grafana Cloud k6.
Open Performance testing
When you open Testing & synthetics > Performance, you land on the Performance home page. Use it to open a project, start a new test, see test runs in progress, and open support and learning links.
Every stack has a Default project, so you can create and run tests without creating a project first. To organize tests by team or service, refer to Manage projects.
Each tutorial in this section can walk you through a different use case, depending on your needs:
- Run your first tests can help you run a performance test from Grafana Cloud by using the Test Builder. No command-line tool installation or coding required.
- Run cloud tests from the CLI can walk you through the steps required to install k6 OSS on your machine, and the different ways you can run a test locally or on the cloud.
- Run your first browser tests can walk you through using the browser capabilities of k6, so you can write tests that interact with your website and measure its performance.
After you run your first performance test, you can explore how to schedule a test, or how to correlate your test results in Grafana.
